It is not known for certain who wrote Psalm 91 of the Bible. For some researchers, it was Moses, because of some idioms. For others, however, the psalmist was King David. Psalm 91 was probably written between 1391–1271 BCE.

Anyway, what is psalm 91 for? I say that both psalm 91 writing as spoken serves to improve our self-confidence to face the obstacles of everyday life. It serves to increase our hope of salvation from god, at the time he has set. It serves to increase our strength and courage, as i said before.

In addition, and other things, it serves to increase our faith.

Who doesn’t remember when he was a child and played hide-and-seek? This happened mainly with those who lived in the countryside until the 80s.

When the child found the perfect place to hide, he felt completely protected. Of course, it was a joke and someone ended up being found in hiding or leaving after a while.

Another example: instead of saying “thousand will fall at your side and ten thousand at your right”, i prefer to say “a thousand will fall on my side and ten thousand on my right.” And in the place of “no evil will succeed you” i say “no evil will succeed me” thus, the power of the psalm increases for me, because i am applying it to my person.

You can also personalize the psalm ninety and one, addressing it to a loved one.

In this case, when you quote the one who habits in the hidden from the highest, keep in mind the image of your loved one or more than one, sons, daughters, brothers, whoever you are directing the power of the psalm.

Conclusion

Apply Psalm 91 in your life and feel the results almost immediately. The more you quote it the more your faith, your strength, your self-confidence and your hope will increase.

Memorize it and quote it by replacing “that” with “me”, “you” with “me” “will say” with “say” and so on in other words.
